This policy explains what usautozilla.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is operated by Salvage Motors LLC, Santa Barbara, California. We collect what we need to answer your questions and sell you a car, we don’t sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it.

1. What we collect
Information you give us. When you use a contact, reservation, custom-order, financing-referral or inventory-alert form, we collect what you enter: name, email, phone, state, the car you’re interested in and your message. When you buy a car we collect what the Bill of Sale, customs entry and title require: legal name, address, date of birth where the DMV requires it, and payment confirmation details. We do not collect card numbers; payments are by wire.
Information collected automatically. Server logs and analytics record IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, referring site and time on site. We use Google Analytics and may use Meta Pixel for advertising measurement.
Cookies. Essential cookies make the site work. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only with your consent via the cookie banner, where required. You can withdraw consent at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer or block cookies in your browser.
2. How we use it
To answer your enquiry, reserve a car, complete a sale, file customs and title paperwork, send you inventory alerts you asked for, improve the site, and, with your consent, show you relevant advertising. We don’t send marketing email you didn’t ask for; every email has an unsubscribe link.
3. Who we share it with
- Autozilla (Sarazina World, Portugal), our affiliate, to prepare your car and its documents. Data shared with Autozilla is covered by this policy.
- Service providers: customs broker, shipping lines, inland carriers, e-signature, email and hosting providers, analytics and advertising platforms. Each receives only what it needs.
- Lenders you ask us to refer you to.
- Government agencies (CBP, NHTSA, EPA, state DMVs) as required to import and title your car.
- Law enforcement when legally required.
We don’t sell personal information and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the cookies described above.
4. Retention
Enquiries: 24 months. Purchase records: 7 years, as required for tax and dealer licensing. Analytics: per Google’s and Meta’s retention settings, which we set to the shortest available.
5. Your choices and rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (subject to records we must keep by law) by emailing [email protected]. California residents have the rights in the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing; we don’t sell or share in the CCPA sense, and we don’t discriminate for exercising rights. Residents of other states with privacy laws have equivalent rights and the same email address.
6. Security
Data is stored on access-controlled systems with encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we’ll notify you as the law requires.
7. Children
The site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
8. Changes
We’ll post updates here with a new date. Material changes will be flagged on the home page for 30 days.
