One price. Landed.

The number on every listing already includes the ocean freight, US customs duty, the broker and the port fees. You add inland transport and your state's title fee. That's the whole bill.

Duty is charged at the rate in effect on the day the car enters the US. We show the rate we used on every quote.

Why buy from USAutozilla

Our own team in Europe

We buy from dealers, auctions and private sellers in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany and France, with people on the ground who see the car before you do.

Cars from where it doesn't rust

Southern Europe: dry climate, no road salt. We check the underbody on every car and we show it to you on video.

Eligibility verified before we buy

VIN and month of manufacture checked against 49 CFR 591. A car that won't be 25 on arrival day is a car we don't ship.

Flaws in writing

Paint depth, leaks, tire dates, known faults. The condition report lists what's wrong as readily as what's right.

Licensed US dealer

Salvage Motors LLC, Arkansas dealer M-13632. You get a US title and a bill of sale from a US company, not a foreign invoice.

Refundable deposit

$2,000 to $5,000 depending on price, fully refundable for 7 days. The process is in writing before you pay anything.

The 25-year rule, month for month

A car is legal to import when it is 25 years old from its date of manufacture, not its model year. Built November 2001 means legal November 2026. We explain the forms (HS-7, EPA 3520-1), the duty and the state-by-state registration picture in plain English.

FAQ

Are these cars legal to drive in the US?

Yes. Any car 25 years or older from its month of manufacture is exempt from FMVSS and, at 21 years, from EPA emissions requirements. We import under those exemptions, and every car leaves customs with a stamped CBP 7501, HS-7 and EPA 3520-1.

Can I register the car in California?

If it was built in 1975 or earlier, yes. If it was built in 1976 or later, California requires CARB certification for direct imports, which costs $5,000u2013$10,000 and is not possible on diesels. We don't guarantee California registration for post-1975 cars. Most of our customers in California title the car in another state or buy a pre-1976 car.

What's included in the landed price?

The car, export paperwork in Europe, ocean freight to your chosen port, US customs duty at the rate in effect on entry, broker fees, port and documentation fees. Not included: inland transport from the port, state sales tax, title and registration fees.

How long does it take?

6u201310 weeks from full payment to the car cleared at a US port. East Coast and Gulf ports are faster; Long Beach adds 2u20133 weeks.
